My name is Beth Adler and I live in a mobile home in the Sonoran Desert about 45 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona.  I've lived here since 1993, and despite being on a dirt road and having to haul water, I love it.  The photo above is my back yard.  The desert is home to many species of plants and wildlife including palo verde and ironwood trees, creosote bushes, giant saguaro cactuses, quail, roadrunners, hawks, lizards (including gila monsters), toads, rabbits, hares, ground squirrels, mice, coyotes, javelinas, and yes, rattlesnakes, vultures, and scorpions too.  I happily share my land with all the critters.

  | At the age of 45, I was diagnosed with autism. You don't see anyone with autism at 45, but I was born with it.  In this section I write about my personal experiences with autism. |

  | I graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with a Bachelor's degree in piano performance.  I used to give piano lessons for about 20 years but since February of 2006 I don't do it any more.  (see stroke) |

  | In January 2002, a pop-up ad tempted me to register the domain name bethadler.com.  I took a free online course on HTML, and shortly after a web design was born.  After February, 2006 I had to stop.  (see stroke)  In September 28, 2009 I finally got FTP (File Transfer Protocol) initiated and I had to start all over again. From the beginning. |

  | In February 2006, I got a stroke.  It was the most devastating thing I could ever have imagined.  I was disabled for the rest of life.  After over nine months in the hospital (I had cancer too) I left for home. |

  | On the left is Thunder, my Newfoundland.  I would like him to be a service dog, but I don't how to get anyplace without a car.  I would like a Golden Retriever with the Arizona Goldens LLC, but my Newfoundland would have to be a pet.  See my other pets. |
